At the heart of Vancouver’s West End
PC Urban is exploring options to re-develop the property at 1150 Barclay Street, while also respecting and celebrating the unique characteristics of the site, location, and the West End neighbourhood. A Development Permit for an 11-storey luxury market condo building was issued in 2018. In response to local city policies reflecting housing pressures, PC Urban is undertaking a secondary rezoning process to allow for the development of a new 20-storey secured rental building with 152 rental homes, 20% of the homes being offered at below-market and 40% will be family-oriented homes.
The proposed design features a wellness centre for residents and a community room with a patio and children’s play area, which will be available for local community groups to meet and socialize. The development’s inclusive design will cater to people of all ages, family configurations and a wide range of income levels. The building will feature nearly 300 dedicated biking stalls, offering convenient and eco-friendly transportation options for residents.
